Biscornu cross stitch pattern - Lavender pincushion from Provence
Biscornu cross stitch pattern - Lavender pincushion from Provence
I needed a pincushion for my occasional sewing sessions, and I discovered the biscornu DIY while looking for tutorials! It was the perfect opportunity to make my own pattern.
For the theme, I decided to take inspiration from earthenware tiles made in villages like Salernes (faïences in French). For the first color palette, I went straight to my comfort zone and picked lavender flowers 🍃.
The good news is that I think this pattern is easily transformed with new colors and accents, so have fun with your threads!

I recommend using Aida 14 ct fabric. I tea dyed white fabric but you can
buy ivory / oatmeal / antique white Aida to get the same feel.
